OUR COURSES

We have many options for how acting classes can be integrated into the school environment and we offer bespoke package for schools to suit their requirements.

All students can work towards the YAFTA Acting for Screen Syllabus as part of their classes.

We offer levels from Grade 1 to Grade 6 which provide certification for the student upon completion of an assessment at the end of the year.

We would expect students to work towards the following grades:

Key stage 2: Grades 1, 2 & 3.

Key stage 3: Grades 4, 5 & 6.

However if students are new to screen acting in key stage 3, the tutor would establish the most appropriate grade for each individual student. Prices start from as little as £8 per student per week.

You can view the learning objectives of each grade in our brochure which is available for download at the bottom of this page.

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS

Schools can offer our classes as after school clubs. These clubs are usually funded by the student and run as an additional offering to the school curriculum.

INTEGRATED INTO THE CURRICULUM

There are different options for integrating the YAFTA Syllabus into the school curriculum. Schools may opt to deliver the YAFTA Educational Structure as part of their drama or PSHE programme.  Alternatively, schools may look to offer ongoing classes. We would advise that if utilising the programme to support the mental health of students, that an ongoing schedule of classes is recommended.

This is because the therapeutic benefits arise through the stable, consistent, containing space that becomes trusted and safe for the student to explore their emotions.

BESPOKE PACKAGES

Our courses for education have been developed by the YAFTA team which include psychologists, psychotherapists and drama school trained performers. As such, we are able to adjust and develop programmes to suit the needs and requirements of your school and students.
